About Semmozhi Poonga

Semmozhi Poonga – Coimbatore has been developed after extensive research and study of leading botanical gardens around the world, including those in London, Singapore, and Shanghai. Best practices from global botanical environments have been adopted, and challenges identified elsewhere have been consciously avoided.

Spread across 45 acres, with a planned expansion to 120 acres, the park is built on a Biome-based design philosophy, creating landscapes that evolve as naturally as a growing Garden — as a vine, as a branch, as a leaf, as a flower spreading across the earth. Every curved pathway invites visitors to slow down and observe, rather than rush through.

Outdoor Wi-Fi-enabled workspace gardens, a natural earthen jogging track, eco-restaurant, open-air theatre, experience centre, and souvenir shop are integrated without disturbing the natural environment. No artificial materials are used; colour palettes follow terracotta and natural greens, and all signage is engraved in stone.

Environmental Impact

A boundary-level arboretum acts as a natural buffer, reducing noise and pollution. This initiative forms a significant step in climate resilience, water conservation, and urban ecological balance.
